Hardly a week goes by on Skye without an event of some kind, but even without organised concerts, festivals and shows, the Isle of Skye is a holiday destination above most.

It's mountain ranges, the Cuillin, are internationally recognised for the quality of walking and climbing, 'Munro-baggers' make Skye a primary destination. Coastal walks and easier rambles abound, with an incredible array of rare and spectacular animals, birds and plants. The historical heritage is everywhere; to be found in museums, and scattered settlements and brochs.

If your taste is for the gentler pursuits, or you need rest and recuperation from outdoor exertions, Skye has award-winning restaurants, arts and crafts, festivals of all kinds, music in pubs, cinema, theatre... if you want it, it's likely that Skye covers it!
